【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtoprovideameansfordeterminingtheconcentrationofargoninsealedinsulatingglassunitsundercontrolledconditionsincompliancewiththeapparatusmanufacturer''sinstructions.Thisisanon-destructivetestmethodinthattheedgesealofthetestspecimenisnotbreachedinordertodeterminetheargongasconcentration.However,damagetosomeglasscoatingsontheinnersurfacesoftheglasscanoccur.Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedbasedondatacollectedinacontrolledlaboratoryenvironment.Thedeviceshallbeusedtodeterminetheargongasconcentrationininsulatingglassunitsinacontrolledlaboratoryenvironment.Referto12.3.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminetheargongasconcentrationbefore,during,oraftertheinsulatingglassunitissubjectedtodurabilitytests.Theaccuracyofthetestmethodisdependentupontheconcentrationofargongas.Astheargongasleveldecreasestheaccuracyalsodecreases.Whentheconcentrationofargonisbelow70%thistestmethodisnotapplicable.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforusingasparkemissionspectroscopetodeterminetheconcentrationofargongasinthespacebetweenthelitesofasealedinsulatingglassunit.1.2Thisisanon-destructivetestmethod.1.3Thistestmethodshallbeusedonlyinacontrolledlaboratoryenvironment.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicableforinsulatingglassunitswithargonconcentrationsof70%ormore,wherethebalanceofthegasisatmosphericair.1.5Thistestmethodisapplicableforclear,double-glazedinsulatingglassunits.1.6Thistestmethodisapplicablefordouble-glazedinsulatingglassunitswithonelitehavingametalliccoatingortintedglass,orboth,andwithclearglassastheotherlite.1.7Thistestmethodisapplicablefortriple-glazedinsulatingglassunitsonlywhenthecenterliteofglasshasametalliccoating(eitherlowemissivity(lowE)orreflective)andbothoftheotherlitesareclearglass.1.8Thistestmethodalsoincludesaprocedureforverifyingtheaccuracyofthereadingsofthetestapparatus.1.9ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.10Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,referto7.1.
