【摘要】:ThistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthecoefficientoffrictionbymeansoftheFour-BallWearTestMachine.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorintheformercm-kgfmetricunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetextthecm-kgfunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents,thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemscanresultinnonconformancetospecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificwarningstatementsaregivenin7.3,7.4,7.5,and7.6.
