【摘要】:Aerosolproductsaresubjectedtostorageteststoascertaintheshelf-lifeofthecompletepackage,andtoevaluatethedegreeofsuitabilityofthevalveandcontainercomponentsfortheirintendeduses.Itisimpracticaltopromulgateastandardprocedureforconductingstoragetests,sincevariationswillbenecessitatedbydifferencesintheultimateobjective(forexample,theprimaryinterestofonetestmaybeconcernedwithcontainersuitabilityorshelf-lifeofanewproductinanexistingpackage,whileanothertestmaybeconcernedwithvalveevaluation).Itfollowsthatstoragetestingmustbeflexibleenoughtoaccommodatethesmallproceduralchangesrequired.Thus,thisrecommendedpracticewillonlysetforththoseprinciplestobeobservedinestablishingadefiniteprocedure,inordertoallowtheindividualoperatortheprerogativeofadaptingthesetosatisfyhisparticularrequirements.1.1Thispracticecoversthestoragetestingofaerosolproducts.1.2Therearetwomajortypesofstorageteststhatmaybeperformedonaerosolproducts:1.2.1LiveStorageTests,wherethevalvesareactuatedandthedeterminationsaremadeatrelativelyfrequentintervals(thepurposebeingtosimulateconsumeruseofaerosoldispensers),and1.2.2DeadStorageTests,performedtosimulatewarehousestorageconditionswhenshelf-lifeinformationissought.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection4.
